Attempting to run under Visual Studio 11 Beta

Mar 10, 2012 at 4:23 PM

I'm trying to run the chapter code in Visual Studio 11 Beta.  Anyone else?

I've also installed Microsoft DirectX SDK (Aug 2009)
and (at some point) Microsoft XNA Game Studio 4.0 (9/30/2010)

The ASCII stuff in "SimulationsAndGeneralDiscussion.sln" works for me after automatic upgrade,
but the GameHost and GameHostContent projects in "FSharpXNA.sln" fail to load properly.  See VS error messages at bottom.

I found three similar bug reports: http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/728907/visual-studio-beta-11-will-not-load-project-vscoloroutput-that-loaded-in-vs-2010 and http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/728847/could-not-open-vs2010-solution-with-mvc-project and http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vssetup/thread/d8608165-392f-4f3e-8fce-ec693650e7ff

The last one mentions XNA and led to this:  http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2012/02/29/10274694.aspx

Before I try trial and error, I figured I'd ask here.

P.S.  I'm using the Beta mainly because of tech lust.  I know it's wrong, but I cannot help myself.
